Our Top 5 Fitness Travel Tips

Whether you’re traveling for holiday or business, we believe in feeling your best all year round. Travel doesn’t have to throw you off track. Here are five simple tips to help you stay healthy, happy, and energised wherever you go:

  1. WATER WATER WATER

Not only do we lose a lot of electrolytes living in the UAE, but we also lose just as much when we jump on a flight. When our natural body salts are depleted, we can feel fatigued, bloated, and foggy-headed.

Adding electrolytes to your water helps you rehydrate faster, giving you back your energy, clarity, and helping with sleep and recovery. Bonus: the more water you drink, the more often you’ll have to get up and move, hello, circulation and mobility! Every bathroom break becomes a chance to stretch and flush out toxins.

  1. SLEEP

Sleep is your body’s ultimate recovery tool, especially when you’re crossing time zones or adapting to a new environment. Prioritise good sleep by setting a bedtime, avoiding caffeine late in the day, and limiting screen time before bed. A quick walk after dinner or some light stretching before bed can also promote better sleep.

If you’re struggling with jet lag, aim for exposure to natural sunlight early in the day and try to stick to local time as soon as you arrive. The better you sleep, the better your body can reset, repair, and perform.

  1. Get a Workout In

It doesn’t have to be hardcore or long. We recommend going for a walk and exploring your surroundings or jumping onto your Reset Fitness On Demand workouts via the app. A short session can help reset your body, boost your mood, and reduce that sluggish travel feeling.

  1. Routine

We know it can be challenging to keep your routine while traveling, but the more you stay synced with your usual habits, the easier it is to stay on track. Wake up early, get your movement in first thing, and stick to your usual meals and supplements.

Pack your protein, amino acids, and daily essentials, this small step helps regulate your body and sets the tone for the rest of your trip.

  1. Indulge… Mindfully

Traveling often brings sugar cravings and the temptation to indulge and that’s okay! We recommend packing some healthy snacks like low-carb, high-protein bars to help curb those cravings.

Opt for smart swaps like frozen yogurt over ice cream or fruit over pastries. But remember, it’s human to have a treat. One indulgent meal won’t derail your journey, just get back on track at your next opportunity. It’s what you do consistently that matters most.

Happy traveling, Fit Fam!
